As the daughter of Vietnamese refugees who fled to the United States in the 1970s, J. Connie Tran proudly became the first lawyer in her family. She was born in Long Beach, California, and raised in Winter Park, Florida, as the fifth of six children. Among the youngest in a big immigrant family, her passion for fairness and devotion to individuality has been growing inside of her since she was a young child.

Attorney Tran’s distinctive approach to legal representation goes beyond the confines of traditional practices, embodying a commitment to an individualized and tailored strategy for each client. With an emphasis on pre-arraignment preparation, she engages in early and thorough investigation and advocacy, leaving no stone unturned to secure the best possible outcomes. Her reputation as a skillful listener and her genuine curiosity about the unique circumstances of each client contribute to a holistic understanding of their needs. She recognizes that her clients’ livelihoods, encompassing their careers, relationships with loved ones, and reputation among peers, hinge on the results achieved by her defense.

I was born in Long Beach, California, to Vietnamese refugees. My parents raised my five siblings and me in Winter Park, Florida. Among the youngest in my big immigrant family, my passion for fairness and devotion to individuality has been growing inside of me since I was a young child. By the age of 12, I visualized my future and forged my path to becoming the first lawyer in my family.

In 2018, I embarked on a new chapter and established my own private practice. In over 11 years of practice, I have advocated in over 750 cases, achieving life-changing results for my clients by securing numerous dismissals, acquittals, suppression of key evidence by uncovering illegal conduct by police, and preventing criminal complaints from issuing against my clients.

For the first six years of my legal career, I served as a public defender and staff attorney at the Massachusetts Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS). I proudly represented over 500 individuals unable to afford attorneys and facing criminal charges in District Courts. I practiced in Cambridge, Somerville, and Malden District Courts, where I honed my oral advocacy skills and developed my courtroom presence.

My approach to legal representation goes beyond the confines of traditional practices. I am committed to an individualized and tailored strategy for each of my clients. With an emphasis on pre-arraignment preparation, I immerse myself in early and thorough investigation. I have a genuine curiosity about the unique circumstances of each client, and I constantly pursue a holistic understanding of their needs. I recognize that my clients’ livelihoods, encompassing their careers, relationships with loved ones, and reputation among peers, hinge on the results achieved by my defense.

My commitment to justice and fairness has been brewing inside of me since I was a child, so it is my personal mission to empower my clients and help protect their rights as individuals. I look forward to connecting with you, advocating for you and walking through this process with you.

Teagan Langseth-DePaolis is a passionate and dedicated criminal defense attorney who brings both fierce advocacy and deep empathy to her work. Born in Minneapolis and raised in Portland, Teagan’s path to the legal profession was shaped early on by her involvement in grassroots activism and a deep commitment to social justice.

During her undergraduate studies, Teagan gravitated toward law-school-style courses and community organizing, particularly around issues of race, gender, and reform within the criminal legal system. These experiences solidified her desire to become a lawyer who not only fights hard in the courtroom, but also listens closely to her clients’ stories, needs, and goals.

Teagan earned her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in 2025, where her legal education centered on client-centered representation, empathy, and self-determination. She is proud to be practicing alongside J. Connie Tran, Esq., and is thrilled to be part of a firm that treats clients as whole people—not just as cases.

As an Associate, Teagan is committed to securing the best possible outcomes for her clients while also contributing to broader efforts to create a more just and humane legal system.
